trained in commercial art but quickly moved on to fine-art ceramics and then to sculpture, which she still practices, working in clay, wax, plaster and other materials to make both representational (figure) sculpture and abstract forms. She took up painting to get color intoher art. Her abstract canvases are complex mysteries of subtle pastel and sharp accent, “paintings of air.”
